I use now a fuel magnet in the 700, and am very happy with the result.
Earlier, there must have been lean times even though I was using the headertank. Now it is quite a bit easier to tune the engine.

I have flown only about 10 liters yet, it's too early to say anything about longevity. Thus far, I can only recommend it - it's a rather small price to pay for making tuning easier. It pays off for itself after saving you three tuning flights on a .90 :)

What I found out so far:
- old fuel magnets use a white foam
- the new ones use grey foam
- the new ones last longer
- hot exhaust fumes seem to destroy the foam rather quickly (OS)

Since I'd have to remove the engine every time to have a look at the fuel clunk, I placed mine into the headertank instead.

According to what I've read, I'd strongly recommend to use a fuel filter. If the foam disintegrates, it will produce many small fragments, that get sucked into the fuel line, and are stopped by the filter.

I hope the picture in the link shows for non-members also. Too big to post here  ::)

I placed fuel magnet to my Raptor and have to say that it rocks with YS.

-No more bubble issue in header tank  ;D Yes!
-Mixutures need to be a sligthly richer than without fuel magnet
-Low thottle need to be trimmed a bit higher to ensure smooth running and responsible throttle

In Raptor's main tank there is additional fuel line connector in the bottom side. I connected pressure line directly on it (with valve) even YS manual says that pressure line shall be just 10cm long. This modification works fine and finally the engine runs ok in any position.

quick replly fro, hollandx:

Only the pressure line length between engine and valve matters (standing waves) for the line valve-tank use whatever length
