T-Rex 450 with superframe

I got me a nice little superframe for the 450 from the Hobbylinna T-Rex sales... that was good value for the money.
What feels a bit weird is doing a complete rebuild without actually crashing the heli first

Superframe is one of the best frames ever done for the Trex 450.. Pros: Easy servo installation and the fact that the pushrods are equal in length, very stiff structure; almost un-breakable, looks cool, parts are high quality parts but still extremely cheap. Cons: smaller main bearings compared to the original frame and not many shops sell HDX/Sonix parts. To my mind they should've left the batteryplate to be tilted the same way as in the original frame.

That's why I have it re-mounted like this:

thanks, interesting. I guess that means another HeliDirect order for me, for some spare bearings.
And, I'll have to invent something for the canopy. The old one doesn't fit too well.

I'll keep the battery mount in mind for 4s. Right now, it's perfectly in balance with 3s.
The main problem with my 4s T-Rex is the heavy nose. The setup as in your picture should be just what the doctor has ordered...

I've flown a couple of batteries today, despite the weather... now it's certified as "waterproof"  As it is, it's the most accurate setup I've had. Loops almost as in the sim. Flips and rolls over the right axes - now much less interaction than before. And the ds760/9257 combo is rock solid.
3s feels a bit underpowered, but next the stock Align ESC will be replaced with Kontronik.

The one you have is HT CCPM (high torsion) whatever that means?!?
