YS 91 SR what's that magnet for?

Hello,

this strange little magnet came with the YS 91 SR. Not mentioned in the manual though, no obvious place to fit it.
What's it good for?

There seems to be some problem with magnetic backplate sensors, when the crankshaft gets magnetized after a while. Is it maybe related to this?

edit and either it's the world's worst magnet, or it's something entirely different...

I think it's the woodruff key which goes to the crank. I didn't use it in my heli.

Yep... that tiny little piece of metal is not magnet. it is woodruff key or wedge and goes to the crank. Cooling fan hub of my Hirobo Freya requires that wedge on the crank.

I was wondering the same thing when I assembled my 700 rex. I was 99,5% sure that it must be the woodruf key, wedge, or similar. I had couple of those in my planes. The propellers backside has round spacer and in the spacer is that item, delivering the power from crank to the spacer.

Off-topic.. töissä kun asentaa isoja sähkömoottoreita niin tuo osa yleensä kummasti katoaa uudesta moottorista. Sitten pitää vaan toivoa että vanhaan moottoriin jäi kiila kiinni akseliin ja se sopii uuteen..
