"The NEO´s sensor is a sucessor of the blueline sensors from the same Manufacturer, about 2 generations later. So it is in almost all parameters a step ahead. Technically it dosent make much sense to use an external blueline. Its a different game on Silverline, since the sensors are a complete different technology and Manufacturer, which has certain advantages on high Vibrations. It has downsides as well!
If this is an advantage for you, depends on the application. On high vibrationg nitros, or Turbines, the Silverlines advantages outweights its downsides. On all other Helis, the NEO internal Sensor is the best Choice.

"The NEO sensor has an 16bit AD Converter, giving a very high native resolution. The silverline sensor(silver or blue) does have a 10bit AD Converter, but the resolution is increased by very high oversampling to about 14 bit.
Dont give too much for the resolution, all Sensors do have some noise, so the resulting performance is not very different for each other. The resolution is enough to pick up all movements down to the own noise, and the silverline sensors are designed to be used with oversampling. So its just a different approach with minimal difference.

http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=717888nitroon suosittaa siis edelleen silverlinea. kaikkiin muihin käyttötarkoituksiin NEOa
