3Digi FBL-purkki

Tämmönen kummajainen ollu jo pidempään tarjolla mut nyt ilmeisesti vuodenvaihteessa on saatu jotain isompaa päivitystä ulos ja hardis alkaa näyttää valmiille. Raudanhan on suunnitellut R2, sama jonka suunnittelua/valmistusta esim JLog ja optiguard ovat joten luulisi sen puolen olevan ainakin hanskassa. Softa vaa taitaa olla yhden miehen käsissä..

Ominaisuudet ovat ainakin paperilla varsin vakuuttavat ja dokkaritkin kohtuullisella tasolla. Eikä hintakaan (95e) nyt päätä huimaa varsinaisesti. Onko tätä kellään? Harkinnut? Kooltaan ei ole mikää pieni vaikka sitä näyttääkin. Ja pystyyn lähtevistä johdoista on montakin mielipidettä.

Uusimman firmiksen mukana tuli myös Jeti-tuki ja muuta pientä.. Mutta se govi uupuu vieläki, tosin eipä sitä Kontronikin vehkeiden kanssa edes voi käyttää

Mielenkiintoista historiikkia purkin kehittäjä kirjotellut frikkiin. Yllätti että purkkihan on jo vuosia vanha.

Let me give you some background about the 3Digi...

In 2007 there was only only one fbl system available (Mikado had just started to sell the VBar) and that for a ridiculous price.
I liked the concept of removing the flybar, had some spare time and so a started the 3Digi project in June 2007. In September the first prototype was flying.

2 years later I introduced the 3Digi in a german heli forum and suprisingly many people were interested in rebuilding the 3Digi. 2 or 3 volunteers were willing to put together the kits with all the electronic parts, pcbs and so on, we ordered all the needed parts from several distributors, I wrote a user guide and a construction manual and the things started. ;-)
I made some different versions of the 3Digi the next years, smaller parts, newer and better sensors, "Compact" version with integrated sensor and so on. But still all with a 8bit Atmel processor.

About 3 years ago, I again had some spare time again and wanted to try some new things with the 3Digi, like extended logging (in the old version the logging memory was very limited), vibration analysis, GPS logging, own casing (the time of the 3D printers had come ;-)), integrated Bluetooth module and so on. So I started the current version with the STM 32bit controller.

After I again had introduced the version in the german heli forum, Linus from R2prototyping contacted me and asked, if I was interested in a commercial version. After due consideration I said "why not" and we expanded the 3Digi team and started the new R2 3Digi version.
Linus reworked the hardware (better power supply, especially for the Spektrum sats, smaller parts, industrial design) and we spent some time with user guide, software, heli presets and so on. An Adroid App was written and the Jeti Integration implemented (to be released in a few days ;-))

3Digi has never been open source! The software and even the curcuit diagram was never public available!
