I just noticed one nice thing, well nice for my point of view.

I ordered this http://flying-hobby.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=3_5_246&products_id=4086. It costs $348 now. And just few days ago (when 1 USD was 0,75 EUR) I paid $299 of it. It seems that the flying hobby also reacts on the changes of USD market price.

Items should be in my hands on monday!

I received the same kit (and lots of spare parts) last Monday delivered directly to my home address ;), however, the exchange rate was not that advantageous when I placed the order. Unfortunately I did not have any chance to set it up yet - I hope there is enough time during the holidays.

Well then there will be two of us whom will be agreeing on the 18A ESC (I already know I will agree totally with Markus, since my 12A on ep100 cannot handle 3S batteries).

How about the digital servos included in this package? Do you have idea are those suitable? I think they will be better than my previous servos which will stay in ep100. I read from runryder that they aren't so accurate, but quite good comapring the price.

Well I can't wait to get my owns in my hands, I do have few other micro servos which came from vertical hobby, so I do have something to compare besides these which came with the ep100 custom combo pack.

Those Maxwell digital servos are too heavy and jerky to my taste.

They weight 12,8 g and do not travel in equal speed (my sevos didn't). I have already replaced them with 9,15g Inno-Lab digital servos from Vertical Hobby (I am flying EP200 V2 FES). They are faster, lighter and more accurate.

V2 frame can accomodate a much wider selection of servos than the previous version. Hyperion Atlas 09GMD is most likely the best servo you could find. It fits both to cyclic and to tail. However, they are not good for V2 FES cyclic servos, because they don't have enough torque.

I just tested the Maxwell MDS-60HB servo. Comapred to some other micro servos I have. The resolution is from another planet.

I don't know how to explain the resolution, but here it goes:
First I created a new aeroplane program from my DX7, and connected servos to the aileron and elevator.
Then attached the longest servoarm available to notice movement.
After that just by clicking the trim. One "BEP" sound and the Maxwell moved just a tiny bit, the other servo needed 3 "BEP" sounds before it moved.

I agree, MDS-60HB ain't too fast servo. When releasing the stick from other end, the other servo moved with the stick "vibrating" and the Maxwell well.. vibrated a bit, not "enough".

Conclution: I will use these servos for controlling collective, but not to rudder, I'll rip the Futaba S3154 from ep100, and replace it with a maxwell. Then I'll have good setup (for me) in ep200 and not so good in ep100.

Edit: Added some line changes

I tested the diffirence between the Futaba S3154 and the MDS60HB, they are pretty much the same speed, comparin with my eyes... They do the "vibrating" effect when releasing the stick from trasmitter same ammount. So, I'll be using the MDS60HB also as rudder servo in the EP200.

I guess Maxwell MDS60HB may be fine on EP200SE. It is a robust servo and will last a long time on cyclics.

EP200 FES needs more acuracy because swashplate has to make very little and precise movements compared to its flybared sister. My FES was flyable with Maxwell's. It is just smoother with Inno Labs.
