Breaking it down

Even if it sounds easy - believe me, it is not: There is a lot of control input happening in a short time.
Every stick direction is equally important. Flying banked turns at speed is as challenging as any 3D move.

The picture shows the different phases.
A segment is a continuous flight phase: I can fly straight to the horizon, and keep circling until I run out of fuel. Transitions take the model from one segment to the next.

Here: practising efficiently is more info on segments and transitions.
The picture shows the move, as seen from above.
banked turns: Segments and transitions
S1 The heli enters in straight forwards flight
Tr2 The heli is rolled slightly left. When practising it very slowly, back off collective a little bit.
S3 A short straight-line segment where the heli leans left. I show this as a separate segment, because it is very hard to do Tr2 and Tr4 at the same time. With increasing confidence, S3 will get shorter and should ideally disappear.
Tr4 The heli is pulled into the banked turn
S5 Half circle
Tr6 Both Elevator and Collective are released. The heli enters the circle straight, leaning left.
S7 Short straight segment. Pay careful attention to release collective and "unload" the heli. Since it's banked, the flight here is purely "ballistic", we don't float on collective.
Tr8 Roll to level flight
S9 Forwards flight.
T10 Establish correct attitude in nick direction and collective for sustained forwards flight
S11 Forwards flight
