Variations

In addition to segments and transitions, let me introduce another term: Variations.
Something changes, but the main idea remains the same.
Examples:

hovering variations:

  • tail-in, nose-in, side-in and the in-between angles
  • the same inverted
  • piroing

flight variations:

  • upright forwards, backwards, side-in left and right
  • inverted forwards, backwards, side-in left and right
  • rolling (straight roll, rolling circle, rolling figure 8, rolling loop)
  • flipping (traveling flip)
  • piroing
  • piroflipping
  • tic-tocking
For example, when I fly a rolling circle, I'm mainly concerned with controlling the circle, the rolls happen "in the background".
