Simulator training?

Stall turns can be efficiently practised in the sim.
  • Many pilots aren't used to keep the heli in the sim "on the flight line". It takes practise!
  • Pick a flying field with horizontal guides on the ground, for example a runway or tracks in the grass.
  • Since visibility in the sim is worse, and getting over my head is not dangerous, I tend to fly closer than in reality.
  • In real life, it takes considerably more effort to keep the heli on its path.
  • Turn on constant wind with a fixed direction, fly always along the same flight line and learn the wind corrections in the straight up/down segments.
